Hyundai Tournament of Champions Betting Odds 2013

The Hyundai Tournament of Champions has got to be one of the most difficult tournaments to handicap because every player is literally a winner. The fact that the price of admission to the tee is a win in the previous season makes this a special tournament, indeed. It is too bad that the tournament is missing a couple of marquee winners—Tiger in particular. Its also unlikely we’ll ever seem him in Hawaii as long as big oil money is paying him to start in Dubai.

The odds-on favorite this week is Matt Kuchar at 10/1. That’s as good a bet as any. Kuchar in the past couple of years has shown signs of becoming the superstar that he has the potential of being. Following Kuchar is Jason Dufner and Ian Poulter at 12/1. Both of these are guys whose games I very much like. Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley and Nick Watney show up at 14/1. Brandt Snedeker, Dustin Johnson, Steve Stricker and Webb Simpson fill out the top ten.

Can’t go wrong with any of them. It should be a competitive week.

  1. This is a strong field to kick off 2013 and should produce another low four round winning total. It just depends on the weather during the tournament.

I’ll be cheering for the Australian Mark Leishman. He enjoyed a really solid 2012 season and deserved to get a breakthrough victory.

Won’t be easy though with major winners Bubba Watson, Webb Simpson and several other top liners there wanting to start 2013 in style.
