Mizuno is known for its forged players’s irons—and rightly so. They have, however, been slowly moving into the development of clubs that the rest of us can play. The JPX 800 irons are Grain Flow Forged Irons, with a large cavity created by a CNC milling. This thins the face for distance, while moving the center of gravity down and back for increased forgiveness. Still, catering to the “players,” these clubs have a thinner top line, less offset and a mid sized head.
I have club envy. This is a set I’d really like to spend some time playing.
