A look back at the 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
Brandt Snedeker picked up his fifth PGA TOUR victory at the 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, carding a final-round 7-under 65 for a two-stroke win over Chris Kirk. Snedeker also won the Pro-Am portion of the event (paired with fellow Vanderbilt alum Toby S. Wilt, marking just the ninth time in tournament history that a player has won the individual and pro-am team title in the same year and the first since 2011 (D.A. Points and Bill Murray).

• 2014 European Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley makes his sixth career start at Pebble Beach and his first since 2009. The four-time European Tour winner is the first-ever native of Ireland to serve as Europe’s

• Several local favorites, including five-time TOUR winner and former Fresno State standout Nick Watney, who will make his 11th start at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, with a T6 in 2011 his best outing.
• Sponsor exemption Max Homa, who turned professional last fall after winning the NCAA Men’s Individual title last year at Cal, will be making his fourth professional PGA TOUR start of 2013-14. Homa’s best start of the previous three was T9 at the Frys.com Open last October. Homa is a member of the Web.com Tour in 2014.
• After missing last year’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am for the first time since he made his first start in 1986, two-time (2001, 2003) champion Davis Love III returns for his 27th start at the event. In addition to his two wins, he finished T3 in 1995, one of seven top-10 finishes.
• 2011 FedExCup champion Jim Furyk will begin his 21st season on TOUR this week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. It will be his 18th start at the tournament, with T3 in 1998 the best of his four top 10s.
• Jason Day owns bookend sixth-place finishes in four starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am (6th- 2008, T14-2009, T46-2010, 6th-2013).
• Among the unrestricted sponsor exemptions is Kiradech Aphibarnrat, winner of the 2013 Asian Tour’s Order of Merit on the strength of a victory at the Maybank Malaysian Open, a co-sanctioned event between the Asian Tour and the European Tour. • Nine 72-hole winners (eight players) of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am held at least a share of the lead for all four rounds – Dustin Johnson (2010), Phil Mickelson (2005 and 2007), Tom Shaw (1970) Bert Yancey (1970), Lloyd Mangrum (1953), Jimmy Demaret (1952), Lloyd Mangrum (1948) and Ed Oliver (1940).

• The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on the PGA TOUR and Joburg Open, co-sanctioned by the European Tour and Sunshine Tour, are the final tournaments for players to earn OWGR points and punch their tickets to the Accenture Match Play Championship, which returns to The Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Ariz., February 17-23.
• Only six players between No. 55-No. 75 in the Official World Golf Ranking are playing in official events this week. Players looking to hold onto a spot in the Accenture Match Play Championship are Kevin Stadler (No. 57, AT&T) and Richard Sterne (No. 64, Joburg).
