A Golf Trip To Texas

The eighteenth at Fazio Canyons at the Omni Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas

The GolfBlogger Family recently took a golf trip to Texas, where I had the opportunity to play two of the courses at the Omni Barton Creek Resort: The Fazio Canyons and the Core/Crenshaw Cliffside.

Texas turned out to be a great place to go to get away from February in Michigan. Temperatures were in the 80s and as you can see from the photo, the courses were greening up nicely. Both were outstanding layouts, and I’ll have full reviews with photos soon.

While in Texas, we also visited Austin’s famous bat bridge and SoCo District;  Magnolia and The Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco;  The Alamo, the San Antonio Missions National Park, and San Antonio’s Riverwalk. On the way home, we stopped in at the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home in Dyess, Arkansas. I’ll have more on all of that, too.

For now, though, here’s a photo of Magnolia in Waco, made famous by the HGTV tv show Fixer Upper.
