A New Golden Age of Golf

Writing in National Review Online, Kevin Holtsberry argues that golf is entering a new golden age. While Tiger’s previous dominance changed the game, his return to form has the PGA “on the brink of a remarkable season.”

The difference? Tiger now has real competition. Whereas his rise and dominance took many by surprise the first time around, there now is a group of players ready and able to fight back. The fact that, this time, Mickelson didn’t wilt at the sight of his Tigerness is a positive sign.

Holtsberry predicts a great Masters’ this year, and I said as much here.
