AA SPARK Sponsors LPGA Volvik Pro-Am Pairings Party

Volvik Pro-Am Pairings PartyBuilding on the success of last year’s LPGA Volvik Pro-Am pairings party, organizers have added a new sponsor: Ann Arbor SPARK.

Ann Arbor SPARK, a non-profit organization, is a public – private – academic partnership focused on growing the economy of the Ann Arbor region.

The Ann Arbor SPARK Pairings Party, to be held at the University of Michigan Crisler Center and Michigan Stadium, will begin the tournament’s corporate activities on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. CEOs, business executives, and VIPs will network and have the chance to meet LPGA players and other sports stars and celebrities in a unique Ann Arbor setting.

“The LPGA Volvik Championship attracts major attention to the Ann Arbor region and we’re pleased to support this unique opportunity to spotlight why this area is a location for top business and talent,” said Ann Arbor SPARK president and CEO Paul Krutko. “Global companies are attracted here and are creating jobs and investment. Ann Arbor SPARK sees this as a chance to further those successes by creating awareness of the opportunities in Ann Arbor with decision-makers and influencers around the world.”

Last year’s Pairings Party was viewed by many in the industry as “the best on Tour.” But the party is just one part of the LPGA Volvik Championship, an international event centered around championship professional golf. More than 30 countries are represented on the LPGA Tour and the events are televised in over 170 countries. Last year’s champion, Ariya Jutanugarn, is from Thailand.

“At any professional golf tournament, the Volvik Pro-Am Pairings Party is the one corporate event not to miss. It brings together all the corporate partners and the entire LPGA community, from the LPGA stars to the LPGA Commissioner and his staff,” said Tournament Director Keith Karbo. “And once again this year, those attending the Pairings Party get the opportunity to go on the football field at the Big House and hit a few golf balls. It is a great evening.”

The Official LPGA Pro-Am presented by A123 Systems will be played on Wednesday with each foursome having the opportunity to play with two different LPGA golfers during their 18-hole round. LPGA golfers will each play nine holes with their Pro-Am partners.

A limited number of playing spots in the Volvik Pro-Am Pairings Party are still available, and it is expected that the event will sell out again this year. For Pro-Am information or to reserve your spot, go to http://volviklpga.com/pro-am/ , call 734.707.0789 or email [email protected].
