Wilcoxson (South Bend, Ind./St. Joseph’s H.S.) shot an even par 72 to take medalist honors while Yurik was one stroke back with a 73 in the 14 person field.
Wilcoxson is an Academic All-Mid-American Conference student-athlete at Western Michigan University. She had a strong junior year, highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the Kansas City Shootout at Shoal Creek Golf Club.
Yurik, a former All-Big Ten First Team selection at Michigan State University, (Rochester, Mich./Stoney Creek H.S.) had her best career finish at MSU as a senior by placing fourth at The Ohio State University Golf Club. She also fired a team-best 11 birdies in the tournament.
The LPGA will conduct an 18-hole stroke play competition on Monday at Eagle Crest to determine two qualifiers that will receive an automatic exemption directly into the inaugural LPGA Volvik Championship to be contested at Travis Pointe Country Club, May 26-29.
