American Triumvirate: Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, and the Modern Age of Golf
I read this some time ago. I don’t remember enough to do a review, but it was a good read. It focuses on Snead, Nelson and Hogan — all of whom were born within a few months of each other in 1912 — and their role in creating the modern game of golf. These were golf’s original Big Three.
It seemed fitting to point out the book the week of the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship.
