Crooner Andy Williams has died at his home in Branson, Missouri. He was 84.
While most know him as the voice behind such classics as “Moon River” and “Born Free,” Williams also has a golf connection. He was an avid golfer, and hosted the “Andy Williams San Diego Open” from 1968 to 1988. That tournament, played at Torrey Pines, now is the Farmers Insurance Open.
Williams also starred in The Andy Williams Show from 1962 – 1971, and produced numerous other television specials.
