Annual GAM Course Directory In The Mail

The Golf Association of Michigan has begun mailing its annual Michigan Links Course Directory to members along with membership packets. Watch for it in your box.

Michigan Links includes a comprehensive course directory, schedules, previews of major championships, stories about GAM members and partners and more. The cover stories for the 2020 publication are headlined “Getting Ready: The Next 100 Years,” and “The Future is Here: People Power The Game.”

“The GAM is proud to present its annual publication which celebrates the past season and previews the next,” Chris Whitten, the GAM’s executive director, said.

“This is the culmination of months of work – preparing stories, shooting photos, and framing the point of view. Enjoy and we look forward to seeing you on the links soon!”

If you’re not a member of the GAM, you should be. GAM offers a lot of benefits (and no, this is NOT a paid advertisement. I’m just a happy member):

  • Official GAM Handicap tracking
  • Swing and Save GAM Card discounts at 200+ Michigan Courses
  • GAM Golf Days, where you have the opportunity to play some of the state’s top private clubs
  • Free access to GolfShot and GAM pricing on the premium version
  • Michgan E-Links newsletter
  • Golf Digest Subscription
  • Digital Subscription to GolfWeek
  • Hotel and resort discounts from Affinity Travel as well as special discounts on sporting events, concerts and theatre shows
  • Special offers from Kohler, Sullivan Golf and Travel, Linksoul, Imperal Headwear and more.

Plus, you get the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to support the game in Michigan at a time when it needs your support more than ever.

The GAM Golf Directory is at least a beacon of hope. In fact, this year’s theme is: Moving Golf Forward

The GAM celebrated its centennial year of serving the game of golf in 2019 and starts a second 100 years in 2020 with nearly 60,000 individual members as part of over 450 golf clubs and courses.

The directory and more information will also be available online at GAM.org. Some scheduling changes due to the COVID-19 outbreak will be necessary, and some have already been made. Members will want to refer to GAM.org for rescheduling information, etc.

“We’re moving forward,” Whitten said. “At the time of this release the summer tournament schedule has only been affected with some USGA qualifiers being cancelled and one GAM junior event being postponed (GAM Junior Kickoff) and that will be rescheduled. We are continuing to monitor the executive order and guidelines regarding COVID-19 moving forward, but we still anticipate a busy and successful season of tournament golf.”
