Here’s another thought on the WGC Match Play’s future: Move the event to Florida. It would be close to home for so many of the top players and the weather will be cooperative. No chance of a repeat of last year’s snowstorm.

As for a sponsor, they should try to get Disney on board. It’s an international operation, with worldwide film distribution and parks in Florida, California, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai. That fits well with the notion of a World Golf Championship. The question is whether one of the Disneyworld courses is appropriate for Match Play.
