A Rocket Mortgage Classic 5K Run and OptiShot Golf Simulator In Downtown Detroit will kick off the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic. These are the first of eight days worth of events centered around the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic — the first PGA TOUR event within the city of Detroit.
ROCKET MORTGAGE CLASSIC 5K
Downtown Detroit hosts the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic 5K Run and Walk on Sunday, June 23. The 5K will give local runners and walkers the chance to pound the pavement in downtown Detroit with a fast 3.1-mile round trip along the Detroit International River Walk, starting and finishing at the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority. The race, which starts at 8 a.m., will be open to runners and walkers who register in advance.

WHAT: ROCKET MORTGAGE CLASSIC CADILLAC DETROIT CITY SERIES
The Cadillac Detroit City Series will give golfers and those simply passing by the chance to virtually play the Detroit Golf Club’s 15th hole just like the pros will later that week. Fans passing by Campus Martius will get to test their golf swings in an OptiShot Golf Simulator and see if they can make or even break par on the challenging 160-yard, par-3 hole. Six-time PGA TOUR winner and 2009 British Open winner Stewart Cink will make an appearance from 1-2 p.m. Cadillac is the Official Vehicle of the Rocket Mortgage Classic Cadillac City Series.
