Grade: B
Teacher’s Comments: Has a nice sea island vibe.

“Is that a surfboard on a golf cart?,” my son asked, peering at my shirt. “That’s cool.”

Yes it is.

Along with the striped collar and vent linking, the embroidered logo puts me in mind of a lazy day on a balcony overlooking a Carolina beach, a Firefly Charleston Mule in hand, watching the tides roll away …

Ok. Enough of the dreaming.

Bald Head Blues makes a nice looking line of clothing inspired by the coastal lifestyles of Bald Head Island off North Carolina. They recently sent a polo / golf shirt for review.

The shirt is a polyester fabric, with a nice fit and finish. It is heavier in feel than a “performance” golf polo, and perhaps more suited for cooler temperatures. The fabric is quite soft, and has that “lived-in” feel.

The shirt does, however, tend to get wrinkled. And it is less “crisp” than many others in my closet. In that, it is probably perfect for lounging, untucked on a chaise, but not so much for work.

But who wants to go to work, anyway?

I like the Bald Head Blues vibe.
