Shaving cream giant Barbasol has inked a four-year agreement to sponsor a PGA TOUR event opposite the British Open Championship. The alternate field event will award 300 FedEx Cup points to the winner.
The Robert Trent Jones Trail Foundation will serve as the host organization, and the tournament will will be held at the Grand National – Lake Course near Auburn.
Heh. If I were a marginal player with any concern about keeping my card, I would absolutely enter opposite field events instead of the Majors or WGC events.
