Betting Odds To Win The Transitions Championship 2011

It would be nice to see the World Number One take a PGA Tour victory during his stayover in the States to cement his lofty position. And that’s exactly what a preponderance of bettors think he will do this week at the Transitions Championship. Martin Kaymer is this week’s favorite at 10/1.

Meanwhile, last week’s winner, Nick Watney is in at 11/1. Watney has had a hot hand this season, with five top tens (including last week’s win) in five starts.

Paul Casey and Padraig Harrington (25/1), Jim Furyk, Retief Goosen and Bubba Watson (28/1) and KJ Choi, Bill Haas, Ryan Moore, Geoff Ogilvy, Justin Rose and Vijay Singh (33/1) fill out the rest of the top ten.

To be sure, this isn’t the heaviest hitting lineup we’ve seen, but I think that means that the favorites are more likely to do well.
