Buick Open Pushes For Fans

The Buick Open—Michigan’s only PGA Tour stop—is making a major push for attendance this year, and is using a famous Michigander to help.

Tim Allen will provide the voice-overs for a new ad campaign aimed at golf fans in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. The ads hopefully will help keep the Buick Open at the Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club past 2010, when the current contract runs out.

Allen already does the narration for Michigan’s terrific “Pure Michigan” ads.

Next, they ought to recruit Jeff Daniels, who still makes his home in Chelsea, Michigan, just outside Ann Arbor.
