Canary Islands Championship Winners and History
The Canary Islands Championship is the third leg of the European Tour’s 2021 swing through the Canary Islands.
Like the others (the Tenerife Championship and Gran Canaria Lopesan Open), it is intended as a one-year replacement for a delayed or cancelled regular event.
The tournament is played at the Golf Costa Adeje, a par 72 course clocking in at 6, 816 yards. It is the same course which hosted the previous week’s Tenerife Open.
That may be a first: a course hosting two separate professional men’s golf tournaments in consecutive weeks. Pinehurst No. 2 had previously hosted the US Open and the US Women’s Open in consecutive weeks.
