Citizen Men’s BM8242-08E “Eco-Drive” Gold-Tone Stainless Steel and Leather Strap Watch

For my 50th birthday, Mrs. GolfBlogger bought me this beautiful Citizen Eco Drive watch.

It has long been a joke in my house that no watch can withstand the magnetic field that I generate. Over the years, any watch that I’ve purchased has stopped working within a few weeks for no apparent reason. The only ones that have lasted thus far are ugly digital watches  and my Pebble Smartwatch, both of which have no moving parts whatsoever.

I’ve had the Citizen for a week now, and so far, so good. Perhaps the lesson is that I shouldpurchase more expensive (and presumably more reliable) watches.

In my dreams, I own one of those Rory McIlroy Omega golf watches.
