The Pure Michigan campaign, which among other things features Michigan’s golfing riches, has teamed with Coca-Cola to promote activities in Michigan this summer. Coca-Cola features Michigan in its MyCokeRewards vacation packages, as well as discounts through Wendys restaurants Coca-Cola purchases.
Participating Michigan attractions in the discount promotion include: Air Zoo, Avalanche Bay, Boyne Highlands Resort, Boyne Mountain Resort, Crystal Mountain Resort, Garland Lodge & Resort, Great Wolf Lodge, Michigan International Speedway, Michigan’s Adventure, Shanty Creek Resorts, Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry, Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and the Mystery Spot in St. Ignace.
Among the first MyCokeRewards prize packages are a getaway to Ann Arbor and the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Pure Michigan and Coca-Cola Heat Up Summer with Two Cool Promotions

LANSING – Vacation and refreshment go hand-in-hand, so Pure Michigan and Coca-Cola are teaming up on two efforts to promote both activities in Michigan this summer. In addition to continuing the successful MyCokeRewards vacation package sweepstakes, there will also be a new promotion starting Memorial Day weekend, in which Coca-Cola and Wendy’s® will feature a ‘Cup Full of Savings’ at participating Michigan attractions.
“Coca-Cola keeps coming back to the table to work with us on new ways to spread the word about the travel and recreation opportunities here in Pure Michigan,” said Leslie Hornung, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. “This is an opportunity to create savings for our fans as well as encourage them to get out and explore some of the terrific destinations Michigan has to offer.”
During the promotion period, customers who purchase a medium or large Coca-Cola® product at participating Wendy’s® restaurants throughout the state of Michigan will be able to redeem those cups for discounts at participating Michigan attractions, including the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, Michigan’s Adventure and Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point. The restaurants will also feature signage highlighting the promotion.
More than 1.3 million promotional cups will be produced. Cups are redeemable for one time use only, and the discounts are exclusively available at michigan.org. The promotion runs through June 27, 2014 with discounts valid as late as the end of October, depending on the particular offer.

In a separate promotion, Pure Michigan and Coca-Cola are kicking off the next round of Pure Michigan getaway vacation prize packages through MyCokeRewards. The first vacation getaway features a trip for two to Ann Arbor and the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway and includes hotel accommodations, race tickets, meals, entertainment, ground transportation and air transportation provided by American Airlines®.
Details and Official Rules will available on michigan.org/mycokerewards starting May 28, 2014. The Ann Arbor/Michigan International Speedway offer runs through June 30, 2014.
