Crowdfunded Golf Projects For November 27, 2018
G Bike

G-Trike

The Pitch: It is a specialized bike designed for use on the golf course. The inventor, Yaguang Wang, offers it as a compromise between walking — which he finds fatiguing — and riding a cart, which offers no exercise.

Why I Might Be Interested: It would be fun.

Why I’m Holding Back: I’m not sure how many clubs would allow this on their course.

Phigolf WGT Edition: Golf Simulator for Your Living Room

The Pitch: Building on the World Golf Tour app by TopGolf, the Phigolf simulator uses a sensor that fits on either a club or on the included swing trainer.  The sensor connects with WGT so you can play different courses.

Why I Might Be Interested: I like the idea of a really portable golf game/simulator

Why I’m Holding Back: After you fork over money for the Kickstarter, you still have subscription fees to deal with.

Documentary Film On The Youth Golf Initiative In Liberia

The Pitch: The film documents the progress of the Youth Golf Initiative In Liberia program, which offers a free, open-door, state-of-the-art golf program to the youth of that often troubled country. The founders hope that the film will “unleash a wave of similar initiatives.”

Why I Might Be Interested: It’s an inspiring story

Why I’m Holding back: There are just so many worthy golf-related causes at this moment.

Target Golf from TARGET GOLF Vimeo on Vimeo.

Target Golf on Indiegogo

The Pitch: Using the well-known Birdie Balls, Target golf offers a portable course and unique scoring system that lets you play a round in under an hour.

Why I Might Be Interested: I need more practice

Why I’m Holding Back: It’s too expensive for my budget.
