Michigan sports suffered a loss late last week with the passing of Detroit Free Press columnist Drew Sharp.
I enjoyed Sharp’s writing, and while I can’t say that I knew him, I did get the opportunity to play eighteen holes of golf with him this past spring. Sharp and I were paired at the media day golf outing for the inaugural LPGA Volvik Championship. He struck me as a really nice guy, and I enjoyed playing with him.
I’m sorry we won’t have the chance to play again.
