With Tiger not the bettors favorite at early March’s Honda Classic, I thought I’d see how the top players were favored in early lines on the Masters. Interestingly, Tiger is tied with McIlroy at 11/2 for a Masters win at this early juncture. Mickelson is at 8/1 and Westwood at 12/1.
I predict that it will be none of the above.
I’m going to check in from time to time on this to see how things change as we get closer to the real kickoff of the golf season. If Tiger manages to win a tournament, you can expect him to become an immediate overwhelming favorite.

I will give Tiger those odds to make he cut, but to win? Ha!
Phil is my favorite right now, but that is just barely edging Rory, Bill Haas, and Mahan. Keegan and Webb are up there too.
As for who I want to win- Phil, Freddie, Bubba, Hunter, Rory, Ben Crane,KJ, and Rickie. I wouldnt be disappointed to see Sergio win either.
Aside from Fred and Phil, for whom I always root, I’d really like to see one of the young American players win this. That’d boost interest in the Tour in the post-Tiger dominance era. A win by Bradley, or by Mahan would be great.
