Experience the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship May 25 – 29 at Harbor Shores Golf Club in Benton Harbor

The 82nd KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship will be played at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, MI May 25-29, 2022. The Championship, one of the most historic and prestigious events in senior golf, not only brings the most accomplished senior golfers to the area, but also provides a variety of family-friendly experiences for all to enjoy. 

The 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship schedule is as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 25: Practice round
  • Thursday, May 26 – Sunday, May 29: Championship rounds

The Makers Trail 19th Hole

The Makers Trail 19th Hole upgraded ticket option offers a fan experience like no other, providing KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship attendees with special access to a covered pavilion with comfortable seating, views of play, televisions to keep an eye on the action, and a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy specially crafted beverages. New this year, a beer garden and dedicated food truck have been added to the venue to make this a great gathering spot to watch golf and be with friends. 

YMCA Kids Zone

To continue the PGA of America’s mission to grow the game of golf, the Championship offers the YMCA Kids Zone located in Jean Klock Park (Trolley Stop #6). This area is a place for kids to enjoy age-appropriate activities including hitting bays with PGA Professionals on hand for instruction, bounce house, craft stations, and more. The Curious Kids Museum STEM tent will feature science-related activities for older kids.

Saturday, May 28  is Kids Day and will feature a line-up of activities including a magician performing at 1:00 pm. Kids must be accompanied by an adult at all times in this area. Kids Day will begin at 9:00am in the KitchenAid Fairway Club.

On-course Musical Guests

Join us each day from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Senior PGA Concourse Stage for live music from regional favorites. The full schedule of on-course musical guests includes:

  • Saturday May 28th: Work in Progress 
  • Sunday May 29th: Libido Funk Circus

COMMUNITY EVENTS 

Community Concerts

As the Championship gets underway, we invite you to join us for two free community concerts. The first will take place in the Benton Harbor Arts District from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 25 featuring the band Sankofa. On Thursday, May 26, award-winning R&B singer Stephanie Mills and jazz sensation Gerald Albright will take to the stage at Dwight P. Mitchell City Center Park starting at 7:00 p.m.ET

Cars and Community Car Show

On Wednesday, May 25th, the Southwest Michigan Cars and Coffee Car Club will be meeting in the Benton Harbor Arts District from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to show off their passion for discovering amazing vehicles and even better people.

KITCHENAID FAIRWAY CLUB

During Championship week, KitchenAid will welcome golf fans and culinary enthusiasts alike to visit the KitchenAid Fairway Club – the centerpiece of the fan experience at Harbor Shores, and the place to learn from the experts, ask questions, be entertained and be inspired. The KitchenAid Fairway Club is open to the public each day of the Championship and serves as the main experience center for fans to embrace their love for making.

Celebrity Chef Demos

Renowned celebrity chefs Scott ConantStephanie Izard, and Melissa King will join KitchenAid chefs Chris Covelli and Brett Wagner in providing golf fans and culinary enthusiasts alike with the chance to ask questions and learn from the experts during daily cooking demonstrations. Local favorites will also be providing featured demonstrations throughout the event, highlighting their best tips and favorite KitchenAid products. KitchenAid “Putt for Paint” Contest

Test out your putting skills by participating in the KitchenAid putting contest. Each fan will get three chances to sink a putt on unique, KitchenAid-inspired putting greens located at the Fairway Club. All fans who attempt the putt will be entered to win a painted KitchenAid Stand Mixer from a local Southwest Michigan artist.

KitchenAid Photo Opps

Smile for the camera next to this KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship installation or giant KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and then share your fun photo on social with the hashtag, #KitchenAidSrPGA to commemorate your visit to Harbor Shores.

KitchenAid VR Experience

Put on a VR headset and step ‘inside’ a KitchenAid dishwasher or Smart Oven+ for a 360 experience of what these fan-favorite major appliances look like hard at work. 

KitchenAid Mobile Café

The picture-perfect mobile KitchenAid Café will be serving up delicious smoothie recipes to fans throughout Championship week. The mobile Café is stationed near the Kids Zone, and fans of all ages are encouraged to come snag a cool treat, collect smoothie recipe cards, and receive a fun giveaway! 

KitchenAid Giveaway

Be on the lookout for the KitchenAid Stand Mixer scanning stations at key locations throughout the Championship for a chance to “scan and win” KitchenAid products from the 2022 Color of the Year collection. Golf and culinary fans alike can enter once per location (six in total), so be sure to visit them all to increase your chances. Winners will be announced at the end of each day.
