Farmers Insurance Open 2011 Television and Tee Times

Here are the television times for this weekend’s Farmers Insurance Open.

Thu, 1/27:
GOLF 3p – 6p EST
Fri, 1/28:
GOLF 3p – 6p EST
Sat, 1/29:
CBS 3p – 6p SET
Sun, 1/30:
CBS 3p – 6:30p EST

The West Coast location places live coverage in the late afternoon on the East Coast. But with the three hour time difference, 10:30 start for the last group, and the slow PGA Tour pace of play, there still will be groups on the course as coverage ends. It’s good strategic thinking, then,  that what might be the “marquee” grouping, featuring Rocco Mediate and Tiger Woods—the last two men standing at the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines—gets going at 9:00 am EST along with Anthony Kim. That means they’ll start at noon eastern, and be into the back nine during live coverage.

Still, I’m surprised that Golf only has three hours of coverage.

The rest of the tee times follow:

  1. I wish Tiger’s threesome was Phil, Tiger and Jesper Parnevik.  And that Golf Channel got to mic all three.  Now that would be awesome.
