You gotta admire this guy: Brad Faxon wants to play in the (British) Open Championship so badly that he’s willing to fly to Scotland to qualify.
Of course, the easy way would be to play in the US qualifier. But he’s committed to a charity event that weekend. So he’s planning to fly to Scotland instead.
Its not the first time he’s tried that route. He failed in a local qualifier in 2000. It worked out ok, though. He got back in time to win the BC Open.
