Fire Crews Save Some Of Oakland Hills’ Memorabilia

In this video, Bloomfield Township Fire Chief Joh LeRoy describes his team’s efforts at the Oakland Hills clubhouse fire, including information on how the fire was discovered and efforts to save the clubhouse.

There apparently were no injuries, so for this student and teacher of history, the most important next thing is that some of the artifacts were saved.

Here’s a photo I once took of one of the displays at Oakland Hills. Donald Ross, of course, was the architect of both of Oakland Hills’ courses.
