First Tee of Northern Michigan Golf Marathon Fundraiser

Eight golfers will tee it up on September 2 for a 72 hole marathon at the Highland of Harbor Springs to raise money for the First Tee of Northern Michigan and Folds of Honor.

The First Tee of Northern Michigan is a youth development organization that introduces young people to the game of golf while teaching important life skills and values such as integrity, respect and perseverance. Its headquarters is at Boyen Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs.

Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled military members and first responders. Founded in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter pilot and PGA of America member, the organization aims to honor the sacrifices made by these heroes by supporting their spouses and children.
