
Fixing The Over The Top Move
I’m a fan of Alex Elliott’s golf tips. There’s just something about his presentation that seems to me to be very clear and relatable.
One of his most recent ones directly addresses one of my big swing issues: too often coming over the top. The best part is that it is as much a fitness drill as a swing drill.
The exercise/drill involves using a resistance band to help with the motion of clearing the hips.
If you can’t clear your hips, your hands have nowhere to go, and you’ll end up with either an over the top move, or a chicken wing, or both.
