Fox Hills’ Jordan Young is Michigan Teacher of the Year

imageFox Hills Director of Instruction Jordan Young has been named Michigan PGA Section Teacher of the Year. Fox Hills is a terrific local course complex (45 holes, plus an 18 hole par 3 course, a learning center and banquet facilities), and the teachers at Fox Hills are all first rate. I’ve taken private lessons there from Joal Harding, and group clinics with Jordan Young. You can’t go wrong with either one.

Here’s the release from the course:

CONGRATULATIONS TO JORDAN YOUNG ~ Teacher of the Year!

It is with great honor that we inform you that one of our very own, Jordan Young was recently awarded by his peers the Teacher of the Year Award for the Michigan Section of the PGA of America.

With over 800 Members and Apprentices, the Michigan Section is one of the largest and most respected Sections within the PGA of America.  It is a true honor to be awarded such a prestigious award and Jordan will be passed on to the PGA of America National Awards Committee.  This honorable achievement reflects the efforts given by Jordan to Fox Hills, his Community, Association and the great game of golf.

We are extremely pleased to have Jordan as The Director of Instruction at The Learning Center of Fox Hills!  He has built a tremendous reputation with his students and among his colleagues.  Jordan has developed The Learning Center to encompass 10 PGA/LPGA teaching professionals and has brought state-of-the-art technology and programming as well.  Jordan will be given his official award at the Fall Section meeting on October 29th, 2012.
