Ann Arbor’s  Volvik Championship and Stonebridge Golf Club are sponsoring a Family Fun event on Monday, May 22 from 4 – 7 pm at Stonebridge.  The Volvik Championship Family Fun event will feature several LPGA golf professionals participating in the LPGA Volvik Championship, held across the road at Travis Pointe Golf Club. The evening at Stonebridge is for all ages and abilities—even kids new to the game can learn on special golf equipment, including “Golfzilla.” Free snacks and soft drinks

The LPGA Volvik Championship is southeastern Michigan’s only professional golf tournament. I spent the week at the Volvik Championship’s inaugural playing in 2016, and was impressed with the level of competition, the organization and the facilities. Most importantly, the Volvik Championship is a great value and a very family friendly event.

Stonebridge Golf Club is a public 18-hole golf course and driving range in Ann Arbor. Designed in 1991 by Arthur Hills, the course features a challenging layout of water and woods in a residential setting. The facilities include a full driving range and short game practice facility. Several tee options accommodate all levels of play.

Stonebridge PGA Golf Professional Tim Strickland offers a range of instruction—from the driving range, to the short game area to on-course playing lessons. Stonebridge has a large and growing junior golf program, with offerings from summer day camps to family clinics to PGA junior leagues.

For more information call the Stonebridge offices (734) 429-8383. The course is located at 1825 Clubhouse Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48108.
