A GoFundMe has been started for injured members of the Charlevoix HS golf team following their Sunday vehicle crash.
The team was traveling to their hotel following the first round of a two-day tournament when the driver of an SUV crossed the median and hit the team van head on. Six team members and their coach were seriously injured and hospitalized.
The driver of the SUV was being pursued by police as a suspect in a felony assault and automobile theft. The suspect was declared dead at the scene.
