Golf Is Everywhere: Barbie Movie Edition
I watched the Barbie Movie yesterday on HBO and spotted a trio of PGX bags in one of the scenes.
Later in that segment, Ken pulls a PXG driver from the logo bags, takes a couple of swings and ultimately “holsters” it like an absurdly long six-shooter.
It’s an interesting bit of product placement by PXG.
I actually enjoyed the Barbie movie (although I am glad I didn’t pay to see it in the theatre). It was more thoughtful than it had any right to be.
What they got wrong, though, is that golf is somehow an exclusive purview of men. I see plenty of women golfers on the course these days, and have enjoyed every round in which I have been randomly paired with one of the ladies. I cannot say that about all the men I’ve been randomly paired with.
