I regularly stop in a couple of thrift stores on my way home from work, hoping that someone has dropped a valuable club or two in the bin. Instead of an old Cameron, however, what I typically find are golf related knick-knacks such as this “desk top golfer.”
A few years ago, there was a story where a person found a Masters’ jacket in a thrift store for $5. It sold at auction for $140,000. (link to story)
Maybe I should start scanning the men’s jacket section of my local thrifts for green.
