Golf Kickstarters For November 17, 2020

Interesting golf Kickstarters right now include a board game, a putting trainer, a golf cart COVID shield and golf balls for charity.

I have no association with any of these, so use your own discretion. As Kickstarter warns, it’s not a store — it’s more like a stock market. You invest in a product, hoping that, in the end, it produces the desired dividend — in this case, a product that you can use.

Roll In One

The Pitch: Roll In One uses dice and a modular board

Why I Might Be Interested: I love board games. It’s my other hobby other than golf.

Why I’m Holding Back: I don’t know if the creator actually knows anything about golf. It’s been my experience that the vast majority of board game hobbyists know nothing about what they call “sport ball.” I realize it’s not a simulation, but “feeling” like golf would be important to me.

Chirrp Putting System

The Pitch: Chirrp is a sensor embedded putting mat and cup that uses an app to offer actionable data on your putting stroke.

Why I Might Be Interested: The surest way to improve your scores is to improve your putting.

Why I’m Holding Back: I have SO many putting practice aids.

Cart Shield

The Pitch: The plastic shield helps protect riders against each other in a COVID world.

Why I Might Be Interested: Anything that helps prevent the spread of the plague is a godo thing.

Why I’m Holding Back: I am a dedicated walker. I can’t remember the last time I used a golf cart.

Silent Majority Golf Balls

The PItch: This golf Kickstarter is about selling golf balls to raise money for organizations which promote free speech. Ten percent of sales will go to such charities.

Why I Might Be Interested: As a blogger, I’m all about free speech.

Why I’m Holding Back: I am SO tired of politics. And who knows if the ball is any good?
