Garmin Announces Integration With Clippd To Help Golfers Improve Their Game

Golf performance platform will utilize Garmin data to provide unique information to players for dialing in their game

OLATHE, Kan./March 25, 2025/PR Newswire – Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) today announced an  integration with Clippd, a unique data-driven performance platform that helps golfers understand where  and how they can improve their game. The agreement seamlessly integrates Garmin’s on-course and  range session information into the Clippd consumer golf technology platform, giving players a more  complete picture of their game. On-course data is supplied through Garmin’s smartwatches that provide  shot detection – and enhanced by those who pair their watch to their Approach® CT10 sensors for  automatic club tracking.

“We’re excited to work with Clippd to provide our customers even more ways to work on their golf  game. This integration helps users to easily visualize all parts of their game and identify the areas  where they can make the biggest improvements.”

–Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing

Built from the ground up by passionate golfers, Clippd offers performance metrics that present a  compelling way to understand and measure golfing skill – both overall and in each portion of the game.  These metrics give golfers and golf coaches a more precise and immediate way to comprehend and  track skill level shot-by-shot and at a point in time. These metrics include:

  • Player Quality: View skill levels – overall and for each part of the game from the tee box to the  putting green.
  • Shot Quality: Track precise measurements of the quality of each shot.
  • Importance To Scoring: Identify the skills that drive the best scores.
  • What To Work On: Follow personalized, data-based practice plans.
  • Trends: See overall patterns in each part of the game – from drive to putt.

“We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Garmin, a leader in GPS technology and wearables.  This will enable us to integrate Garmin’s golf data into our performance software, providing golfers with  a more comprehensive and accurate picture of their game. We are proud to be the first company to  integrate Garmin’s golf data into our platform, and we believe this agreement will transform the way  golfers track and analyze their performance, enabling them to get better faster.” –Piers Parnell, Clippd CEO

Clippd is the first company to tap into the Garmin Golf Premium API, which launched earlier this year  and grants third party applications access to the golf performance metrics of Garmin customers who  consent to share their data. The Garmin Golf Premium API allows companies to seamlessly integrate  their platforms with Garmin devices to capture scorecard, on-course and range session data to provide  insights that can help improve golf performance.

54 AND PROSHOP HARNESS THE POWER OF CREATORS THROUGH NEXT-GEN GOLF COACHING APP

Cutting-edge digital platform teams up with 54 to elevate global player development

London, March 18, 2025 – Game-changing golf coaching app ProShop is teaming-up with global sports agency 54 to bring the expertise of top creator coaches to the hands of golfers worldwide. Through a tailoredgo-to-market strategy and dynamic promotions, the relationship is set to reshape how players learn, train and improve their games.

ProShop offers an innovative approach to online golf instruction as a one-stop shop for golfers eager to lower their scores. The app will provide a methodical and organised structure to receive and digest instructional content from the likes of Georgia Ball, Bryce Cope, Alex Riggs and Kerrod Gray, some of the most recognised online coaches.

54 has worked closely with ProShop’s creators to develop a launch strategy to position the app among the most popular sports downloads. It launched earlier this month with a buzz of activity across creator, media and app store channels.

Challenging the trend of golf’s ‘quick fix’ culture, ProShop has been designed to help golfers improve, generate connections between players, and bring Pro coaches closer to their students with more structured programs of learning.

It also features a leaderboard where players compete in a variety of different scoring categories. They can add personal touches to their profile with the ‘In the Bag’ equipment feature, and their improvement can be continually benchmarked by the performance trackers set out in the app.

Robbie Greenfield, ProShop’s Co-Founder, said the platform’s advice, coaching and benchmarking content will help build confidence and a sense of community among the users.

“ProShop is set to change the way golfers learn and improve, bringing structured coaching to club golfers in an engaging and effective way. Partnering with 54 ensures that our vision reaches as many golfers as possible, supported by a world-class marketing strategy. With their expertise across sport and digital engagement, we’re confident that ProShop will become the ultimate coaching companion for golfers worldwide.”

We also appreciate the popularity and reach of innovative content creators who build and engage with audiences in increasingly powerful ways.

“ProShop is an incredible tool and we are excited to collaborate with their team to bring this vision to life. Seamless Golf Planning with Rain Protection: Perfect Golf Event Teams Up with Vortex

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Golf tournament and event organizers now receive automatic rain protection when utilizing Perfect Golf Event (PGE) Eagle, Double Eagle, and Ace packages on its website platform. This feature is designed to provide financial protection in the event of .5″ of rain between 10 am and 2 pm, offering tournament organizers financial peace of mind through an automatic payment if rain occurs during the four-hour measurement period. The protection helps offset costs incurred when an event is impacted or rescheduled due to the weather.

The automatic rain protection package offers the following coverage:

  • Eagle Package: $1,500 of rain protection
  • Double Eagle Package: $2,000 of rain protection
  • Ace Package: $2,500 of rain protection

While this coverage is not available in Alaska or Hawaii, golf events in all other states are eligible. The event does not need to be canceled for a payout to occur. Payments are typically mailed within two weeks.

PGE has partnered with Vortex Weather Insurance to provide this automatic rain event protection for their clients.  Additional rain protection can also be purchased via the PGE platform, allowing for an increase in the rain protection provided as well as for those customers who opted for a lower tier PGE offering that does not automatically include rain protection. In both cases, tournament and event organizers can now implement a weather risk management strategy and avoid the unwanted impacts of excess rain on the big day.

“We are thrilled to announce that our upgraded packages now include rain protection for golf tournaments. This means that any upgraded tournament experiencing a triggering rain event will receive swift payouts, ensuring peace of mind for organizers and participants alike,” said Josh LeMaster, Co-Founder and CFO of Perfect Golf Event.

Rain can disrupt golf tournaments in various ways:

  • Course Damage: Waterlogged fairways and greens can make play impossible and require costly repairs.
  • Safety Risks: Wet conditions increase the chances of slips and injuries.
  • Lower Turnout: Inclement weather discourages attendance, affecting revenue.
  • Negative Experience: Rain impacts enjoyment, leaving participants dissatisfied.
  • Reduced Sponsor Exposure: Poor weather diminishes sponsor visibility and ROI.

“Vortex is pleased to partner with Perfect Golf Event for the fourth consecutive year. Our enhanced collaboration with Josh and his team now integrates our weather protection products into their suite of upgrade packages. This partnership allows PGE customers to automatically receive weather protection as part of the comprehensive PGE platform as well as access to weather risk professionals should users wish to obtain more protection for their event. We anticipate maintaining this valuable relationship for many years to come,” said Eric Anderson, Vortex’s Director of National Sales.

Perfect Golf Event is committed to providing weather solutions that enhance the success and enjoyment of golf tournaments. Rain protection is just one of the ways they are helping organizers create memorable and worry-free events.
