Honma Golf Expands North American Presence

Honma Golf, a premium Japanese golf brand is opening a series of club-fitting “experiences” at major golf destinations in North America. These include Reunion Resort & Golf Club in Orlando, Florida; Ko Olina Golf Club in Oahu, Hawaii; and The Golf Performance Project, Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

At a Honma Experience, golfers can test a Honma’s hand-crafted heads and proprietary shafts, as well as leading third-party OEM shafts during the 1:1 personalized fitting session with the Foresight GC Quad launch monitor.

In addition, a Honma Mobile Experience will arrive in 13 new markets including Southern California, Northern California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and South Florida. The Honma Mobile Experience, equipped with custom Honma vans, delivers personalized fitting experiences and custom events to private clubs, public properties and driving ranges.

Honm’s highest end fitting experience is at Honma’s new U.S. headquarters in Carlsbad, California. The Honma House presents a truly innovative golf retail and fitting experience complete with a museum showcasing more than 60 years of Honma’s Japanese roots and the commitment of its “Takumi” (artisans) to a rich heritage of meticulous craftsmanship.

Women’s Golf Day Is Back and Locations Can Sign Up For Free

900 locations, 52 countries, 25 million engagements: one voice

Women’s golf is enjoying a resurgence that is long overdue.  Over the last 5 years, we have seen an increase in the number of female Tour events, mixed events taking root around the globe and a dedicated day to celebrate the female game: Women’s Golf Day.  This is the fastest growing movement in golf, with more than 900 events taking place in 52 countries in 2019.  As part of its ongoing commitment to have even more golf locations and people participate in Women’s Golf Day on June 2, 2020, the team behind WGD is offering FREE location registration with code VIP2020 to anyone signing up before March 1st.

Volvik Announced as Title Sponsor of 10th Annual Founders Cup

Volvik, best known for its colorful golf balls, is now the official 2020 title sponsor of the LPGA’s newly renamed Volvik Founders Cup. The 10th edition of the Volvik Founders Cup will be played in Phoenix, Ariz. on March 16-22, 2020, at the Wildfire Golf Club.

Volvik has been an official marketing partner of the LPGA since 2011. The company was the title sponsor of the LPGA Volvik Championship between 2016 and 2018 at the Travis Point Country Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Currently, Volvik sponsors the Symetra Tour’s Volvik Race for the Card, with the top-10 players on the Symetra Tour Money List by the end of each season earning LPGA Tour Membership for the following year. The company also has eight LPGA Tour players on staff.

The Volvik Founders Cup was created in 2011 to honor the 13 Founders of the LPGA, celebrate the talented players currently on Tour and invest in future generations through donations to the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program. The new partnership continues this mission in an event that has raised more than $4 million for the Girls Golf program.
