Cobra Golf Introduces First Line of 3D Printed Multi-Material Putters

3D Printed Multi-Material Construction, High MOI design, with SIK Face Technology & COBRA Connect’s Data Tracking, Deliver An Industry First; Taking Putter Performance & Design To The Next Level

Carlsbad, Calif. (May 19, 2021) – COBRA Golf announced their first foray into the putter world in 2020, when they partnered with HP to become the first OEM to launch a commercial, 3D printed metal putter with the limited-edition KING SuperSport-35. Today, COBRA announced its official entry into the putter market with the KING 3D Printed Series – its first complete line of 3D Printed multi-material putters.

The putters feature a 3D printed nylon lattice cartridge created using HP’s advanced Multi-Jet fusion printing technology. The 3D printed lattice structure optimizes the weight distribution within the putter chassis to deliver a high MOI design for enhanced stability and roll performance in three distinct models – The GrandSport-35 (OS Blade), SuperNova (OS Fang), and the Agera (OS Mallet).

The KING 3D Printed Putter Series is the result of a multi-year collaboration between COBRA and HP that began with the launch of the LE SuperSport-35 putter.  Since then, COBRA engineers have worked with HP to transition from Metal Jet (metal 3D printing) to Multi-Jet (Nylon) 3D printing to capitalize on the weight-saving benefits of nylon(which is about half the mass of aluminum). The intricate 3D printed lattice cartridges cannot be produced using traditional manufacturing methods and are crucial to creating discretionary weight and creating the highest MOI possible in each putter model. In addition to optimizing weight, the lattice cartridge serves as a supporting structure to the body and damps vibrations and fine tunes sound. Each model features a steel chassis, a forged aluminum crown, tungsten weights, and a SIK Face Insert to deliver unmatched stability and roll consistency on every putt.

COBRA partnered with SIK Golf to employ their patented Descending Loft Technology (DLT), which features four descending lofts on the face to produce a consistent launch angle and roll for different putting styles and stroke consistencies.  COBRA engineers utilized the SIK’s DLT to create COBRA’s version in a 6061 aluminum insert which gives the advantage of weight savings and soft, yet crisp feel at impact.

Using HP’s proprietary 3D Printing Technology combined with SIK Golf’s DLT has enabled COBRA to introduce a revolutionary putter line that changes the way putters are designed and advances performance in the putter category.

From the same stable as Europe’s #1 push cart brand BIG MAX, new Laser Rangefinder brand ZOOM is introducing its award winning first model to the U.S. market. The ZOOM Focus X has swept the board in European media awards over the past 12 months with its combination of premium features, high quality build and a surprisingly affordable price. With its introduction to the U.S. market this debut brand is set to show golfers across the U.S. that European design and premium features need not break the bank.

Based around high class optics, the Focus X has six times magnification, 600m range and continuous flagpole scanning mode that makes picking up a target quick and simple. When the target is found the flagpole lock icon appears and the unit’s vibration mode kicks in to confirm acquisition. Distances, that can be displayed in meters or yards are accurate to +/- 0.5m and are shown in a clear, easy to read format making the Focus X incredibly easy to use. In addition. the eyepiece of the unit is adjustable, bringing the view into focus for a wide variance of eyesight.

The Focus X further adds to its list of premium features with a Slope adjusted distance option that measures distances adjusted to compensate for the elevation of the target. So whether aiming for a flag 20 ft downhill or at the top of a 15 degree slope, the Focus X will deliver the actual distance to the target as well as the distance golfers should be hitting for accurate shots. The Slope feature is simply turned on or off with a button on top of the unit to make it eligible for tournament play.

To keep the Focus X working when you need it, the product features a rechargeable lithium battery with an automatic cut off after 8 seconds of non-use. The battery will last for 40+ rounds of golf, but to be certain not to get caught out, the view finder includes a low battery indicator to keep the need for a re-charge in sight.

In addition to the long list of premium features, the pocket size Focus X is a stylish, lightweight design that looks fantastic in either white or charcoal and comes with a robust carry case to keep the unit safe and accessible when not in use.

Designed for the best premium experience at an affordable price, the Focus X from ZOOM delivers everything a golfer could need from a rangefinder. Precision Pro Golf Unveils R1 Smart Rangefinder

Proprietary MYSLOPE™ Technology Provides Personalized Slope Calculations

(CINCINNATI)  Precision Pro Golf  – a technology company that creates innovative products to help golfers of all skill levels enjoy the game more – announces the R1 Smart Rangefinder, the company’s most-advanced model to date, is now available for preorder at www.precisionprogolf.com.

The R1 features game-changing MYSLOPE™ technology, the first-ever personalized slope calculation that creates an adjusted distance specific to a player and their environment. The patented MYSLOPE™ algorithm combines a player’s unique ball data (launch angle, ball speed, spin rate) with environmental variables (temperature, altitude, humidity, etc.). The result is a game-changing level of accuracy applied to every course, club, and swing for a number specific to every player.

The R1 ($319.99) does not require players to look at or use their phones during a round of golf. Instead, data is seamlessly relayed via Bluetooth from the Precision Pro Golf app (available for iOS and Android) to the unit, where all figures and measurements are displayed through the viewfinder. Beyond providing actual and MYSLOPE adjusted distances, with a push of a button the R1 will display yardages to the front, middle and back of the green. MYSLOPE functions can be easily disengaged for USGA-conforming play via a toggle on the side of the rangefinder.

As with Precision Pro Golf’s other popular rangefinders, crystal clarity is achieved through the enhanced LCD display, which provides 6x magnification to ensure golfers always find their target. Additional features of the R1 include:

  • Wind Assist™ – Lets the golfer know how wind might potentially impact the distance of each shot
  • Find My Precision Pro – Notifies the golfer when their rangefinder is missing and reminds them to secure it when the round is over
  • GPS Distances – Slope-adjusted distances to the front, center, and back of the green
  • Target Acquisition Technology – Makes it simple to lock on a target, even with shaky hands
  • Pulse Vibration – Delivers a short burst to ensure players are shooting the flag and not at another target
  • Magnetic Cart Grip – Easily sticks to the cart, clubs or any other metal object
