It’s US Open week, and the PGAT, DPWT, KFT and PGAT Champions are all at the US Open. The LPGA plays the Meijer LPGA Classic

PGA TOUR: The US Open

The PGA TOUR plays the US Open.

Wyndham Clark is the reigning champion.

There’s a lot of confusion on the interwebs — particularly among LIV “fans” (or more likely people in China paid to pretend to be LIV fans) — about the relationship between the US Open and the PGA TOUR. For the record, the PGA TOUR controls exactly ZERO of the Majors. The USGA runs the US Open.

The first US Open was held in 1895. The PGA TOUR did not come into existence until 1968, when the playing division of the PGA Of America split into its own entity.

DP World Tour aka European Tour: The US Open

The European Tour plays the US Open.

LPGA: Meijer LPGA Classic

The LPGA plays the Meijer LPGA Classic in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Meijer is a Michigan based retailer that was a Wal-Mart superstore before there were Wal-mart superstores.

The defending champion is Leona Maguire.

PGA TOUR Champions: Off

The PGA TOUR Champions is off this week.

Their next event is the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in Endicott, New York.

Korn Ferry Tour: US Open

The Korn Ferry tour plays the US Open.

Their next event is the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open.

PGA TOUR Americas: Off

This tour’s next event is in Canada with the Beachlands Victoria Open June 20 – 23.

APGA (Advocates Professional Golf Association): Off

The APGA is plays at TPC Scottsdale.

After that, they have a very interesting looking event called the APGA Juneteenth Classic Pro-AM @ Chester Washington.

Michigan Tournaments: 108th US Women’s Amateur, Michigan Open, Meijer LPGA Classic

The 108th Michigan Women’s Amateur Championship is June 10 – 14, 2024 at Plum Hollow.

The Michigan Open is at Katke at Oakland University.

The LPGA plays the Meijer in Grand Rapids.
