GolfBlogger’s Father’s Day Gift Guide 2023 – Golf Gear
Father’s Day has crept up on me undetected this year. A stressful and whirlwind end to the school semester has left me out-of-sorts and a bit lost for time.
Nonetheless, here are a few items that the GolfBlogger has personally tested and recommends for this year’s Fathers’ Day.
- True Knit Golf Shoes
- 1 More Aero Earbuds
- Kam Kaddie Electric Trolley
- Cleveland HB Soft Milled Putter
- TRUE All Day Chinos
- Garmin Approach R10 Launch Monitor
- PXG 0311 XF Driver
- Honma TW 757 Hybrid
- Honma XP-1 Driver
- Srixon / Asics Golf Shoe
True Knit Golf Shoes
Whether the True Knit II or the new True Knit 3 these are undoubtedly the best walking golf shoes made for hot, dry days.
1 More Aero Earbuds
With great Wind Noise Reduction, active noise cancelling and long battery life, the 1 More Aero Earbuds (review at link) are the perfect way to enjoy music on the course without imposing your questionable music choices on others.
Kam Kaddie Electric Trolley
You can help Dad stay healthy with the Kam Kaddie Electric Trolley. The motorized push cart does the heavy lifting, leaving Dad free to walk easily behind. Science has proven that walking golf rounds improves scores, focus and health. Walking rounds of golf can also extend your life.

Cleveland HB Soft Milled Putter
Half of the shots in a round of golf are allocated to putts. The putter therefore is the most important club in the bag.
Cleveland golf makes some outstanding putters at a fair price. Their new HB Soft milled line is beautiful, and has great feel. Read Golfblogger’s Cleveland HB Soft Milled putter review at the link.

TRUE All Day Chinos
True Linkswear has branched out from its iconic walking golf shoes to apparel equally suited for traversing the course.
The True All Day Chinos (read GolfBlogger’s TRUE All Day Chino Review) will take Dad from work to the course without skipping a beat. The stretchy fabric gives enough to play comfortably, is breathable and water resistant.
Garmin Approach R10 Launch Monitor
The Garmin Approach R10 is a portable launch monitor that offers all the data one needs to improve their game. It is easily one of the best bits of golf tech I have ever tried.
The Garmin R10 app tracks a dozen key metrics, including backspin, sidespin, face to path, launch direction, club path, club face deviation, attack angle, launch angle, total distance, carry distance and deviation.
In the “Training Mode,” the app collects data on every shot and shows the distance and dispersion on a chart.
Best of all, it’s priced affordably for a launch monitor.

PXG 0311 XF Driver
Dad cannot have missed the PXG commercials while watching golf on television. The over-the-top energy of founder Bob Parsons and unusual looks of the clubs are memorable.
PXG clubs can only be purchased at one of a growing number of PXG stores, but there you can get a terrific clubfitting experience. So PXG golf clubs can be two gifts in one: clubfitting and equipment.
Of note is that prices have come way down on PXG clubs since their initial release.

Honma TW 757 Hybrid
Honma XP-1 Driver
Honma deserves to be better known than it is in the United States. The clubs I have tested are perfect for this mid-handicapper with a slower swing.
If you look on the bags of a lot of the players in the LPGA, you’ll see the distinct Honma “mole” logo, but don’t let that lure you into thinking they’re women’s clubs (although they indeed have great women’s clubs). The Honma clubs I’ve tested have permanent places in my bag.

Srixon / Asics Golf Shoe
Asics is a brand best known for its running shoes, and perhaps more famously, as the preferred shoe of Bruce Lee.
Recently, Srixon teamed up with Asics to produce golf shoes. They’re terrific, providing a spring in the step and stability during the swing. Read GolfBlogger’s Srixon/Asics golf shoe review.
