Good Luck to James Piot At The Masters

In 2021, James Piot won the US Amateur, becoming the first from the state of Michigan to do so. This week, Piot tees it up at the Masters as the reigning US Amateur Champion.

I imagine that every golfer in the state is pulling for him to become the low amateur.

Piot is a regular at my home course — Washtenaw Golf Club — and I have met him several times (although he wouldn’t know me from Adam).

Currently Piot plays for Michgan State; he has been a fixture on the Michigan Amateur scene for a very long time.
