If you don’t read Hooked On Golf Blog, you should start today. Now in its twelfth year, HOG Blog was one of the pioneers in golf blogging. When Tony and I started our respective golf blogs, there were no models to follow, and no massive corporate investments in websites with search-engine-optimized-clickbait-articles-written-by-faceless-drones. We wrote about things that caught our interest, in the most honest fashion possible.
We still do.
Over the last decade, I’ve had the good fortune to meet Tony on three occasions for golf, and was even luckier to meet his better half, the lovely Mrs. Hooked On Golf Blog. They’re great people, and I look forward to the day when we can meet again.
I have long admired what Tony has done with HOG Blog. As a one-man shop, he’s an anachronism in the big-media-corporate-internet world. I believe, however, that the remaining independent golf bloggers are far more valuable than those slick sites that push pictures of “Hot Tour Wives.”
I look forward to many more years of reading Hooked On Golf Blog.
