Doug Hoeh of Treetops Resort Elected President of Michigan Golf Course Superintendents Association

  GRAND RAPIDS – Doug Hoeh, class A member and Director of Recreation at Treetops Resort in Gaylord, has been elected as the Michigan Golf Course Superintendents Association (MiGCSA) Chapter President for 2023.

 The MiGCSA held its 16th annual meeting and election on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids.

 Other officers elected to the MiGCSA board include Vice President Jesse Shaver from Gull Lake Country Club in Richland and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Davis from Elk Rapids Golf Club. The election marked the end of board service for Past President (2021) Doug Ware from the City of Livonia.

 New members elected to the board include Seth Britton from Grand Traverse Resort and Tim Matty from Treetops Resort. This also marked the end of board service for Adam Garr with Heritage Professional Products.

 The MiGCSA is dedicated to providing opportunities to members through programs and services that enhance and promote the profession. The association has more than 700 Members and is managed by Executive Director Adam Ikamas, CGCS.

 “The association wants to express our deepest gratitude to Doug Ware for his work as president and service to the industry, and we want to thank Adam Garr for his dedicated service to the board and our association,” Ikamas said.
