How To Bet On The 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament

The old saying is a good one: Everything’s bigger in Texas.

And that includes events like the PGA Tour’s AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament. The 2022 event is scheduled for May 12-15 at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, TX, and promises to be a shootout worthy of Texas lore.

And while the field will likely include some of the biggest names in the PGA Tour (the field won’t be officially announced until the Friday before the tournament), that doesn’t necessarily mean one of those stars will win.

And while big names have certainly won more than their share of titles at the AT&T, it’s also been the site of those who are just starting out and trying to make a name for themselves on golf’s biggest stage.

Well, during the recent AT&T Byron Nelson tournaments that hasn’t been the case.

One is having the season of his life (Scheffler) while the other is coming off a where-have-you-been lately victory (Spieth) that seems to have his game back on track.

If either or both of these players are in the field for the AT&T Byron Nelson, they need to be on your betting radar. And a quick hint: Both of them were in the field last year with Spieth finishing T-9 while Scheffler was T-47.

Oh, don’t let that T-47 for Scheffler put negative thoughts in your mind when it comes to backing him.

The reason: If he’s played in a PGA Tour event over the last two months he’s either won it or been in contention to win it.

It’s not often a player has one of his hands on the Player of the Year trophy just past the midway point of the season. But, Scheffler certainly does.

He won his first PGA Tour event in February, the WM Phoenix Open. He’s added three more victories in his next five events as well as a T-7.

Hot? That’s an understatement.

As for Spieth, he’s been slowly making a comeback into the form that saw him rise to superstar status just a few years back.

His win at the RBC Heritage in April may just free him up to go on another run where he is in contention each and every week.

Add to the fact that he’s going to be right at home in Texas and the crowds will certainly be behind him.

Keep Your Eye On Prop Bets

There will be odds on every golfer in the field to win. To that end, it’s definitely a challenge to pick a winner when it comes to 152 players teeing it up.
