How long will Rory stay at #1?
My understanding is that with a win at WGC, either Westwood or Donald could retake the top spot (depending, I suppose on McIlroy’s finish).
My thought is that he’ll stay atop the mountain for at least this year. He’s playing some pretty good golf right now. What’s your thought?

McIlroy is playing very consistently right now, so it is hard to imagine anyone taking his spot as number one unless he is injured or loses interest. As young as he is, it may be a while before anyone catches him.
I think it is possible that Rory could put a lock on #1 the way Tiger did in 2009- one that would take over a year of losing before he budged off the list. If that is the case, I think we will know by July 1. I think he will.
when he won this weekend, it occurred to me that we finally had one one to get to #1 that wanted it enough. And he has won a major.
While I think it is a little soon o talk about a slam, I don’t think it is too early to bet on Rors for the Masters.
