As always, apparently Tiger thinks he’s above the field to play in this tournament. His loss – as more of us, used-to-be-fans are deeming him irrelevant. Look at this field! Only one 40-something! Great field and won’t miss it!
I don’t know that Tiger’s above the field. But I suspect that he and McIlroy get big checks for starting their seasons in the Desert.
Nonetheless, I totally agree with you. What we are looking at in this field—Sticker aside— is the future of golf: Snedeker, Haas, Mahan, Johnson, Dufner, Bradley et. al. These guys are all future Major winners.
It would be great to have the likes of Woods and McIlroy playing but I think the tournament still looks in great shape.
It’s a very strong field with as mentioned some of the best up and coming players on tour.
It’s a case of anyone in the field is capable of winning after four rounds.
