I Saw Phyllis – Golf Poetry

I Saw Phyllis – Golf Poetry

I saw Phyllis on the links —
Not a glance she sent my way —
Saucy, sunny little minx,
I saw Phyllis on the links —
Wonder what my caddie thinks
When he notes my wretched play.
I saw Phyllis on the links ;
Not a glance she sent my way.

by Theodosia Pickering Garrison, in the 1921 collection, Lyrics of the Links
