In The Mail: Garmin Approach G12 Golf GPS
Manufacturer’s Website
In the mail for review this week is a Garmin Approach G12 Golf GPS.
The G12 is a small, sleek device, designed to be worn on the belt or clipped to a bag. For use on a belt, the screen can be turned upside down so it can be read without removing it.
For size comparison, I’ve included a quarter in each shot. It is really quite small and cute.
The Garmin Approach G12’s screen is reflective and has a big numbers mode to make it easier to read. In addition to yardages to the front, middle and back, it offers a green view, and distances to layup spots and hazards.
The device has 42,000 preloaded courses and can connect to a Garmin golf app on your phone. That app can update the device, as well as help you keep statistics about your round. There’s also a digital scorecard.
Rechargable batteries on the G12 are said to last more than 30 hours.
I’ll have a full review after a couple of weeks of testing.
