In The Mail: GolfLogix Green and Yardage Book

Update: Read the GolfLogix Green Book Review at the link.

In the mail for review this week is a GolfLogix Green and Yardage Book.

Yardage books are of course old school stuff. Jack Nicklaus was perhaps the first golfer to employ one as a weapon in his arsenal, following the lead of fellow amateur Deane Beman (later commissioner of the PGA TOUR).

The GolfLogix Green books take the concept to another level, with heat maps and detailed hole views showing exactly where you need to land your approach, and how to roll your putt from any point on the green.

I received the Green Book for Washtenaw Golf Club, a course I play frequently and know very well. Washtenaw has some of the most difficult greens I know, so it will be a good test of whether the GolfLogix Green Book can help my scoring.

I’ll have a full review shortly.

  1. Any news on how the green books performed? I’m asking because I am thinking about getting one for my home course.
