In the mail for testing is a tube of Proven Insect Repellent. It’s a DEET free repellent that is said to be highly effective, thanks to its use of Saltidin as the active ingredient. Saltidin is recommended by the EPA, CDC, and the World Health Organization. The company says that it repels mosquitoes, ticks, black flies, ants, no-see-ums and more for 12 – 14 hours. Enriched with aloe vera, it is also said to be safe for babies.
As a Michigander, I know a thing or two about mosquitos. A safe and effective mosquito repellent would be a godsend. I’ll give this a test and let you know how it works in an upcoming review.
