In The Mail: Radmor Golf Apparel

In the mail for review this week is a selection of Radmor golf apparel. Radmor is an up-and-coming golf lifestyle company ( visit the manufacturer’s site) that focuses on being “Citizens of the Game.”

Radmor prides itself on being the first brand in the golf industry to focus on making eliminating the use of “virgin” polyester. Polyester, of course is an oil-based plastic that is frankly, environmentally unfriendly.

In the US, each year, we throw away the equivalent of 80lbs of clothing per person. That’s insane.

In place of polyester plastic, Radmor uses Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) Organic and Extra-Long Staple (ELS) Pima cotton. When synthetics are necessary, Radmor uses REPREVE polyester made from ocean plastics or material derived from recycled nylon fishing nets called ECONYL.

Radmor sent one of their Taylor Retro Collar polos, a sweatshirt and a pair of pants. I love the soft colors and beautiful fabric in all the Radmor golf apparel.

The Taylor Retro Collar Ombre Polo (top of page) is 94.5% ELS Pima cotton and 5.5% Elastane. Its interesting design has a bias cut under-arm for greater range of motion.

The Vincent Performance Pants are 97% cellulose fibers that have the feel of a soft traditional twill. The pants have hidden zipper pockets and a back ball pocket. It’s a slim cut with six belt loops.

Also in the package was one of their Perkins Bobrad Organic Cotton Loop Terry Crew Sweatshirts. The sweatshirt is 94% cotton and also features a bias cut underarm for extended range of motion.
